Expertly optimize your existing website with our Theme Review and Optimization services. Our team reviews theme functions and template layouts to ensure maximum performance and speed. We also review installed apps for their benefits, providing you with an efficient and professional website.

This package covers a basic review and optimization. If review shows excessive errors on site and further work is necessary, it will be explained and invoiced before additional edits are completed.

Once service is purchased and paid, we will request access to your admin to review your theme and apps within 24 business hours (Eastern Time). Our work will not incur further charges for you on Shopify (and we will likely save you money on your monthly invoice if you are using paid apps!)

Once your package is purchased, we’ll request collaborator access to your store within two business days. Be sure to include your collaborator code (found under Settings > Users > Security) in the provided field when prompted. After access is approved, we’ll duplicate your current live theme - this means all edits will be made safely in the duplicate, with absolutely no changes to your live store until you give the green light.

Throughout the process, you’ll receive at least three detailed emailed reports:

1. A brief overview of our initial analysis.
2. An app audit with recommendations for more cost-effective or better-performing alternatives.
3. A final report outlining every adjustment made in the duplicate theme and requesting your approval to publish.

We’ll never delete your original theme - just improve upon a copy! If you're currently using a pre-2.0 theme, we’ll handle the upgrade and transfer to Shopify's Online Store 2.0, unlocking powerful new features and future-proofing your store for easier updates.

This service includes a performance-focused audit and optimization of your existing Shopify theme, as well as a review of currently installed apps for efficiency, compatibility, and potential performance impact. Recommendations and changes will be made based on current Shopify best practices and your store’s specific setup. However, Theme & Theory cannot guarantee increased sales, reduced load times, or improved customer retention as a direct result of these changes.

You remain responsible for any apps or code added after the audit, and for the overall performance of your store going forward. Theme & Theory is not liable for conflicts that arise from third-party app updates, Shopify theme changes, or other modifications made post-service. It is your responsibility to review and test all changes before publishing them to your live store.
